This painted egg is also called pysanka. Pattern is applied to it manually by means of hot beeswax and a special tool. In order the ornament to turn out multi-colored, the egg is dipped into aniline dyes several times. This pysanka is made on the basis of a hollow egg. It is decorated with an inscription "Христос Воскрес" ("Christ Is Risen"). Homemade pysanka is a traditional gift for Easter that symbolizes the wish of goodness.
