This Easter egg is made on the basis of a hollow chicken egg. The pattern is created using the ancient techniques of waxing and vinegar etching. Painting eggs is an ancient Slavic tradition. Long ago women decorated the shell of hollow eggs with patterns which were peculiar only to their families. And then used them for home decor.
