This handmade painted egg is an ancient Slavic souvenir for Easter holiday. The ancient Slavs put a special meaning into such items. For example the ornaments painted on this egg symbolize the wealth and wellbeing. The item is made on the basis of a hollow chicken egg. The ornaments are made with the use of hot wax and aniline dyes. The egg is supplemented with a basket cut out of wood and decorated using pyrography technique.
