This handmade figurine is made of plaster, coated with mordant and varnish and kilned at the high temperature. Dolya is the second name of the Ancient Slavic goddess Makosh who was traditionally represented with threads and spindle. They symbolize the thread of fate which Dolya holds in her hands.
