Carnival mask is made from papier mache and painted with acrylic dyes. It is decorated with lace and ribbons. From ancient times, masks played an important role in theater. It's known, that before it was prohibited for women to play in theatres. That's why, actors had to wear masks with image of women's faces, to play their part perfectly.
