This handmade Easter egg is painted with simple and elegant ornaments. This style is called Lemkiv painting. Lemky folk is the back-settlers from Poland that lived in Central Ukraine. A lot of traditions originated from this folk and this art of egg painting is one of them. This pysanka is made on the basis of a hollow chicken egg. The pattern is applied with the use of hot wax, aniline dyes and a special pin.
